Job Summary

We are seeking a Staff Accountant for a direct hire opportunity in Los Angeles, CA with a growing organization in the wholesale trade and import-export industry. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys owning day-to-day accounting functions, supporting accurate financial operations, and contributing to a fast-paced corporate accounting environment.

The Staff Accountant will play a key role in accounts payable, general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close. This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants to expand their accounting responsibilities, work closely with internal teams and vendors, and build a long-term career path within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage a significant portion of the Accounts Payable process, including accurate invoice processing and timely payments.
- Prepare and post journal entries while supporting general ledger accuracy.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and other financial records.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities to support timely financial reporting.
- Review financial transactions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
- Support audit requests, resolve accounting issues, and identify opportunities to improve processes and internal controls.

Compensation and Benefits

- Compensation: $35.00 to $40.00 per hour.
- Job Type: Direct Hire.
- Location: Los Angeles, CA.
