Job Description

The Director of Mobilization for Aramark Nexus is responsible for strategically leading mobilization efforts across Nexus's business. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to successfully mobilize new business, acting as an operational expert to field teams, a technical advisor on core programs and processes, and a thought partner to senior leadership.

This role consistently executes and exemplifies Nexus's brand and reputation for excellence, while maintaining the integrity of client right-to-win strategies and objectives in order to achieve outstanding outcomes.

Travel requirement: 30%, including regular site visits across the portfolio and periodic client or regulatory engagement.

  • Manage a practical implementation path and handoff of activation in a simple, rigorous, and measurable manner.

  • Work in partnership with all stakeholders to tailor a mobilization plan that ensures a successful account opening and ongoing momentum.

  • Work closely with all functional groups, Nexus strategic partners, and industry consultants to develop and manage plans that execute against strategic initiatives, managing clear roles and responsibilities for key stakeholders.

  • Stay at the forefront of potential risks to timelines, budgets, and other activities, enabling an increase in overall growth of the business. Develop strategies to maintain project timelines while creating transparency and clarity for leadership.

  • Enable delivery with speed and agility by clearly understanding all challenges and opportunities.

  • Move many multi-faceted and multi-tiered processes forward while maintaining attention to detail under time pressure.

Program Performance & Continuous Improvement

  • Assess program performance and aim to maximize ROI by analyzing the efficiency and cost of existing processes; identify areas for improvement.

  • Aggressively manage implementation processes, improvement teams, and other stakeholders; create and present reports that accurately communicate progress, risks, opportunities, and effectiveness to both Nexus leadership and Clients.

  • Create documentation outlining process and program changes; provide troubleshooting and continuous improvement strategic thought leadership.

  • Research, prepare, and present written and oral reports; periodically conduct ad hoc research and develop insights and implications to inform business decisions.

  • Employ resourcefulness, drawing on diverse approaches, to deliver solutions and information that achieve desired outcomes.

  • Enable identification, resolution, and, when necessary, escalation of issues, along with mid-course correction or revision of mobilization plans.

  • Validate expected plan execution and outcomes as defined by the Client and Nexus.

  • Identify and manage risks that may impede the mobilization plan success.

Responsibilities Continued

Stakeholder Leadership & Influence

  • Foster long-term support and relationships by developing a strong level of trust and credibility with operators and clients regarding Nexus's technical competence.

  • Manage high, wide, and deep expectations throughout the process to foster an environment of accountability and partnership.

  • Utilize deliberate influence strategies to impact, shape, or redirect the behavior of others without formal authority, navigating different levels of leadership and varied perspectives to achieve alignment.

  • Accelerate buy-in through activities that help end users uncover barriers and co-design potential solutions.

  • Translate and communicate information, implications, and recommendations using clear written and verbal skills, tailored appropriately to a diverse audience.

  • Leverage subject matter experts to proactively expedite task actions.

  • Serve as a key point of contact for both the business unit and the client.

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in client relationship building, managing business performance, sales strategy, managing tight deadlines, and effectively interfacing with all levels of an organization.

  • Proven ability to take strategy from concept to operational implementation.

  • Previous large-volume operational experience with operational vision and a passion for standardized processes and systems.

  • Strong project management discipline, with solid organization skills and a well-honed ability to multi-task and prioritize.

  • Perseverance and the ability to solve problems analytically, statistically, and conceptually, with a sense of urgency to drive multi-faceted, multi-tiered projects to a successful conclusion in a challenging environment.

  • Ability to translate and communicate raw data, statistical and analytical results, implications, and recommendations into clear written and verbal communication.

  • Creative and flexible in style and attitude; employs a facilitative approach to project and change management; adaptive to new situations; comfortable being part of multiple projects and initiatives of varying size and complexity while meeting conflicting deadlines.

  • Strong aptitude for leadership with perseverance, assertiveness, high energy, and enthusiasm; able to inspire and motivate others.

  • Results-oriented self-starter who takes initiative, makes things happen, accepts accountability, and has a 'can-do' attitude; interested in more than executing someone else's idea.

  • Responsible, independent, and confident; thrives both functioning independently and in a team environment, working effectively with little supervision, and able to manage people without formal authority.

  • Strong oral, written, and presentation communication skills; able to communicate with a wide range of people and behavior styles, effectively navigate and mediate conflict, and foster candid dialogue.

  • Expertise establishing credibility and respect throughout the organization while facilitating consensus and presenting ideas logically and assertively.

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office; working knowledge of program/project management software (e.g., Smartsheet, MS Project, Power BI, Smartsheets, Monday.com ) is a strong advantage.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

Position is remote-based; requires constant use of computer, phone, and virtual collaboration tools.

Personally committed to contributing to a positive, engaged working environment by supporting teammates, assuming the best intentions and outcomes, and encouraging creativity and good ideas.
